SC says, don't reduce hearings to charade

The Chief Justice of India (CJI) has expressed his frustration over the delay in proceedings regarding the disqualification of MLAs in the Maharashtra assembly. The CJI-led bench has instructed the assembly speaker to fix a time-frame for the hearings and decide expeditiously on the pleas.
