A study published in the journal Nature Portfolio reveals that the average Indian consumes 8g of salt daily, exceeding the recommended daily limit of 5g. The study, based on a sample survey, found that men, employed individuals, tobacco users, obese individuals, and those with raised blood pressure had higher salt intake.
