PM Narendra Modi and his British counterpart Rishi Sunak discussed the urgent need to deescalate tensions in West Asia and strongly condemned attacks by Hamas on Israel during a telephone conversation between the two leaders on Friday. A spokesperson for Downing Street said the leaders emphasised that Hamas did not represent the Palestinian people and it is necessary to reduce tensions in the broader region.
