House clears tweaked law to set off undersea mineral hunt

India’s mining sector is in for a sea change, literally, with Parliament on Thursday passing the Offshore Areas Mineral (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill 2023 to begin a serious hunt for mineral treasures buried under water.
