Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that Indian students pursuing master’s degrees in France will now be given a five-year long-term post-study visa instead of the earlier two-year work visas after their postgraduation. Modi made the announcement, at LA Seine Musicale in Paris. Observing that the world is moving towards a “new order”, Modi said India’s capability and role are changing fast — be it climate change, supply chains, counterterrorism or counter radicalism.
